118% increase in women racing the upperlimb .com Cunningham Classic

Kangaroo Point Cycling Club is pleased to confirm a 118% increase since 2013 for the number of female riders entered in the upperlimb.com Cunningham Classic.

With 48 women entered to race the 2014 edition (25 in Division One and 23 in Division Two) compared to 22 total in 2013; women now represent 12.2% of total entries and are also the fastest growing participant group.

Following the announcement of Women's Only races and prize equality for the race in 2014 the Club has been overwhelmed by the messages of support and encouragement that we have received. More than 3,500 people read our initial announcement and dozens more shared, re-posted and re-tweeted the article.
